Activism
The Global Ageing Network has been awarded Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. We actively participate at the United Nations Open-Ended Working Group on Ageing (OEWGA) meetings.
We advocate on behalf of the interests and needs of societies that are rapidly ageing and raise awareness of the critical issues in our sector.

Global Ageing Network participated in the United Nation’s 13th Open Ended Working Group meeting in early April to continue deliberations about the establishment of a UN Convention on the Rights of Older People (UN OEWGA).
