Global Ageing Network participants gathered on 29 March to discuss the development and impact of the Global Ageing Network’s paper, Call to the Governments of the World on Long-term Care and Ageing. The paper describes the major problems and current challenges of long-term care—with an emphasis on the importance of providing care and support to older people as a guarantee of their fundamental right to live with dignity—but also concrete directions for solutions and important principles. Our presenters included:
