CEO, Espria (Netherlands)

Marco Meerdink studied medicine and graduated in 1986 at the University of Groningen. He started to work in a large teaching hospital as head of paramedical services. After that he joined The Twijnstra Gudde Group (management consultancy) and became a member of the partnership and executive board member.

In 2003 he changed back to the care sector and became executive board member at the Parnassia Bavo Group, a large provider of mental heath care.

In 2010 he was appointed CEO of Espria.

Espria is a socially committed service provider and offers wide range of housing and care services. Their strength lies in connecting various domains in care and housing.  Espria provides care for 69.000 clients annually and has a member association with 370.000 members (households) Espria has almost 20.000 employees. The turnover of Espria is € 836 million.
