Age-Readiness for the Global Community: A One-Day Summit

The 2026 Global Ageing Summit will include a focus on wellness, environments, workforce, technology and the threads that connect them as we explore age readiness.

• Brian Van Wheele will share the research of the Buck Institute; the only global research institute focused on the biology of ageing.
• Tackling the vast world of technology, Dr. Donald McCaskill will speak about ethical issues with artificial intelligence (AI) in social care, challenging us to consider the fast-moving presence of AI through an ethical lens.
• We will learn about some developments in labor mobility from Rebekah Smith of LaMP (Labor Mobility Project).
• And Paul Sharman of PACE Canada along with Phillipe Saad will talk about environments that foster dignity and support, both built or community based.
