Selfhelp’s Community Service’s 85th anniversary virtual international conference and training workshop will be convening on October 18-21, 2021. Selfhelp is a large home care and community-based organization that provides a broad set of services to more than 20,000 seniors in New York, and serves as the largest provider to Holocaust survivors in North America.
Resilience, Adaptation, and Innovation in Holocaust Survivor Services will highlight person-centered, trauma-informed approaches to working with Holocaust survivors and older adults with a history of trauma. The conference will also focus on family and other caregivers of these populations.
Each day, the conference will feature a virtual museum tour/talk or film screening in the morning, followed by mid-day plenary sessions with keynote speakers and plenary panel discussions and concurrent sessions in the afternoon.
