Evaluation Process & Criteria
Welcome to the Call for Proposals website for the 2017 Global Ageing Conference!
The International Association of Homes and Services for the Ageing (IAHSA) will partner with CURAVIVA to host the 2017 Global Ageing Conference in Montreux, Switzerland, 18-21 September.
Holding the IAHSA biennial conference in conjunction with CURAVIVA, the national association of homes and services in Switzerland, provides an ideal partnership and exceptional conference destination with a projected attendance of over 1500 attendees.
The conference will showcase the most innovative programmes from around the world, along with a stimulating forum for the exchange of both practical knowledge and new strategies focused on the provision of high quality care and services for older adults. Each of the education sessions provides an opportunity for members to learn to adopt innovative practices, explore new ideas and create environments that maximize the quality of life of those they serve.
While the Call for Sessions deadline has passed, IAHSA will accept late proposals for consideration that will be reviewed periodically to address possible speaker cancelations and/or program gaps.
IAHSA and CURAVIVA will review and consider proposals on all relevant topics. We especially invite proposals that feature innovations that address specific needs in housing and care supported by professionally documented practical experience and/or research findings. Topics covered in recent IAHSA conferences include:
-
Wellness, dementia care, as well as culture change initiatives.
-
Enabling technologies aimed at improving care and service delivery.
-
Housing and service delivery models that enable independence and facilitate ageing in place.
-
Design, expansion and renovation of buildings, interiors and landscapes.
-
Change management, leadership practices as well as board and workforce development.
-
Issues related to continuous quality improvement and care coordination.
Accepted proposals will be offered as one hour Educational Workshops over the two days of the conference and will feature a two-to-three member multi-disciplinary panel of speakers.
