Washington, DC – The Global Ageing Network (formerly the International Association of Homes and Services for the Ageing) is proud to celebrate the United Nations International Day of Older Persons.

The theme for this year is “Digital Equity for All Ages” highlighting the need for access and connection virtually for older persons. The United Nations will host a virtual zoom webinar on 1 October 2021 beginning at 7:30 am US EDT. Visit the UN Site to register.

The Global Ageing Network welcomes these initiatives that use technology to increase links between families and friends internationally. The UN International Day of Older Persons is a wonderful opportunity to challenge the assumptions of ageing and demonstrate that learning never stops and later life can equally be a time of active learning.
