The Global Ageing Network is excited to announce our new “Wisdom Talks” series. The series will be held once a month at the Global Ageing Network/LeadingAge office in Washington, D.C. At each month’s free event, featured speakers will join members and guests to discuss topics of interest to the global ageing community in an informal environment. Light refreshments will be served. All are welcome to attend this free event in person or remotely.

About the Speaker
Dr. Vega is the Regional Advisor on Aging and Health at PAHO and will discuss PAHO’s ageing agenda and provide insights about ageing in Central and Latin America. Dr. Vega serves as a Regional Advisor on Aging and Health at PAHO/WHO.

Dr. Vega has been a strong advocate for the ageing population and previously served as the National Director for Elderly Care with the Ministry of Health of Cuba. He also serves as a Professor of Gerontology and Geriatrics and has provided more than 80 international courses and over 25 publications.
